Our Mission
The mission of Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America) is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. This is achieved through various programs and activities designed to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness.

Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Our History
As one of the newer all-girl troops in Scouting America, we’re proud to be laying the foundation for a strong female presence in our community. With the support of our brother troop, Troop 76, we offer a co-ed program that makes it easier for families to attend one meeting, at one location, with siblings of all genders. Together, we ensure full compliance with Youth Protection guidelines while helping our Scouts blaze a trail to Eagle.
Our Programs
Troop 117 holds weekly troop meetings every Tuesday night from 7pm - 8:30pm where we work on rank advancement, merit badges and planning our monthly adventures.
Once a month we participate in a campout with a central activity ranging from horse back riding to canoeing.
Once a year we attend a week long scout camp where the kids have a packed schedule of outdoor skills training and good old fashioned fun.

Troop 117 meets every week on Tuesday nights at 7pm all kids age 11-18 are welcome to attend. We have a brother Troop 76 that meets at the same time so everyone can be involved in scouting.
